Therapy Sessions

Clients Served & Areas of Focus

I see women, men, individuals who identify as nonbinary, and couples of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds and sexual orientations. I work with clients to address the following areas/concerns, however, this list is not exhaustive:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety/Worry/Panic
  • Relationship Issues
  • Life Transitions
  • Work and/or Career Issues
  • Self-Esteem/Personal Growth
  • Trauma
  • Stress
  • Communication Skills
  • Spiritual Concerns

Clinical Orientation

My background is broad and how I work with you depends greatly on you and the presenting issues you bring to the sessions. My primary clinical orientation can be described as:

  • Developmental/Depth
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)
  • Psychodynamic
  • Jungian/Archetypal

Key to the therapeutic process is that you feel comfortable, safe and trusting with your therapist. I make building safety and trust a top priority.

Sessions typically include discussion about issues you present and an inward exploration of the underlying feelings, thoughts and beliefs, obstacles, and likely, aspects of your authentic self that have gone into hiding. Depending on each person and whether the psychotherapy is for an individual or couple, I incorporate IFS parts work, dream work, active imagination, journal writing, sensing in the body, and communication skills development. I respect each person's process and won't push an agenda.
